Youth @ Crossroads 2010 Calendar

Reconnecting Youth ~

Semester-long daily class at Salida high school. Goal is to prevent dropout and substance abuse through building communication and resiliency skills in teens.

Girls Circle/ Boys Council ~

Weekly class held at Salida Middle School for 7th grade teens. Goal is to build

resilience, communication and friendship skills.

Project Toward No Drug Abuse ~

Weekly class through Chaffee County High School in Buena Vista or for court-ordered teens.  Goal

is to prevent/ reduce substance use in teens through building reasoning, communication and critical

thinking skills.

Moral Reconation Therapy ~

Weekly class for court-ordered teens.  Goal is to build "moral compass" through developing critical thinking skills.

Weekly Alternative Activities ~

Activities like snowboarding, horseback riding, art, trips to local hot springs etc. are open to Y@C participants and graduates.  Call Rob or Kelly for details.

Back to School Buena Vista Family & Youth BBQ & Baseball Game

Monday August 23rd, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.   Buena Vista baseball diamonds.  Bring a side dish and

come join the fun! 

Family & Youth Initiatives Community Halloween Dance and Dessert Potluck.                  

Saturday October 23rd, 7 - 10 p.m. Salida Scout Hut.  Live folk band and square dance   calling.  Wear a costume and bring a dessert and your dancing shoes!
