Chaffee County Mentors Staff

Eleanor Fahrney directs Chaffee County Mentors including managing 15 adult-youth matches and Youth In Action cross-age peer mentoring. She has worked with Chaffee County Mentors for 4 years including initiating Youth In Action. Prior work includes assistant director of 100 Elk Outdoor Center in Buena Vista where she trained staff and led field-based youth education classes. Eleanor’s passion for youth has also led her to substitute teach, coordinate after-school programs, and tutor. Eleanor has a B.S. in geology from William & Mary and completed education graduate credits at the Teton Science School. Outside of work you'll find Eleanor playing in the mountains or river. She also loves to dance and helps keep it alive in rural Colorado by organizing and leading swing, salsa, and contra dance events.
